DSI Swinging Europe

Swinging Europe

DSI Swinging Europe is a non-profit, self-governing institution located in the municipality of Herning, Denmark. DSI SE has been working internationally with art and culture since 1998. With music as the main foundation, we create artistic and cultural projects and activities.
In our work we prioritize to develop and participate in cultural cooperation at local, regional, national and international levels.
Our vision is to be an important international factor in creating cultural and social synergy across borders. Our mission is to be a unifying, developing and facilitating unit that possess network, knowledge and competences in Denmark and abroad for the benefit of cultural cooperation in Europe. These objectives are supported by the implementation of events, projects and music tours in close collaboration with professional musicians, artists, cultural actors, young emerging talents and cultural organisations from all art areas. Furthermore, we promote and develop our work by participating in national and international networks with a focus on music and cross-cultural cooperation e.g. Culture Action Europe, European Jazz Network, Euclid and Oracle Cultural Network. This continuously develops our potential for creating new cultural and artistic activities across aesthetic and national borders.
